Fall Sports 2017

Anyone interested in playing a 2017 fall sport here are a few things to know!

Fall sports meeting: August 14th 5:30 in the high school auditorium

First practice date: August 17th

Before you can practice you will need a physical within 2 years time

Fill out the permission forms.

ImPact test email natalie.soffen@lssuvt.org for more details. If new to high school athletics or if you are a junior you will need to retake your impact test. It takes about 40 minutes to complete.

Need 10 practices before you can compete in the first game.

Scrimmages count as a practice

Softball Quarterfinal game will resume play @ Enosburg on Wednesday 6/7/17 at 4:30. Game will be PA 2 and Enosburg 0 heading into the top of the 2nd inning with.

Softball- With a 15-6 win over Rivendell, the girls now play the quarterfinal game @ Enosburg tomorrow 6/3 4:30pm.

Baseball- With a 5-3 win over Williamstown, the boys now play the quarterfinal game @ Green Mountain Union High School tomorrow 6/3 4:30pm

State Track Meet

The D3 state track meet is tomorrow 6/3 at Green Mountain Union High School. Field events begin at 10:00am and track events at 10:30.
  • Admission charge: Adult - $8.00, Student - $5.00

Today's 5/30 baseball game vs Williamstown has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions. Game is now being played on 5/31 at 4:30.

Spring Tournaments

Baseball- #5 seed Peoples Academy will host # #12 seed Williamstown on Tuesday 5/30 game time posted for 4:30, but that could change depending on weather.

Softball- # 5 seed Peoples Academy will host #12 seed Rivendell on Wednesday 5/31 game time posted for 4;30.

D3 Track Championship is Saturday June 3rd at Green Mountain Union High School

Girls State Golf Tournament is Tuesday June 6th at Newport Country Club.

FACILITIES:  Portapotties are located on the lower parking lot.

THE TOURING CENTER is closed to athletes with bags, boots, duffles!!!!


SPECTATORS:  Spectators and non-competitors will be allowed in designated spectator areas free of charge, and must be acutely aware of all racer traffic and respect volunteer “crossing guards”. However, any spectators who wish to ski out on the course (outside of the designated area) must purchase a trail pass in the touring center

***Do not turn onto Steam Mill Rd./Forest Rt. 59 off of Route 125 (some GPS units will take you this way if the above address is entered)***
   From Route 7:
In East Middlebury, turn onto route 125 East toward Ripton for 7 miles to Breadloaf Campus (yellow buildings). Turn left into Rikert Nordic center parking lot. Busses park on East side of lot.
   From Route 100:
In Hancock, turn onto route 125 West toward Ripton for 9 miles to Breadloaf Campus (yellow buildings). Turn right into Rikert Nordic center parking lot. Busses park on East side of lot.


PARKING: There will be a designated area on the east side of the parking lot for busses.  Additional parking (parents, spectators, etc.) will be available on the south side of route 125 (across the road from Rikert) when the main lot fills.
The “Big Barn” will be available for team use, e.g., warming up and eating, etc. There is limited space, so please keep the majority of your belongings on busses. Please do not crowd in the ski shop and only use that area for restrooms/changing and the snack bar.
Electric power will be provided alongside the parking lot adjacent to bus parking.

FOOD: There is a snack bar with soups, hot & cold drinks, and a variety of granola bars, chips, jerky, candy, etc. It is recommended that competitors bring lunch, as the “stomach-filling” food selection is limited.

FACILITIES:  There is an indoor men’s and women’s bathrooms located inside the lodge. There will be portable toilets available outside as well.


SPECTATORS:  Spectators and non-competitors will be allowed in designated spectator areas free of charge, and must be acutely aware of all racer traffic and respect volunteer “crossing guards”. However, any spectators or non-competing team members who wish to ski out on the course (outside of the designated area) must purchase a $15.00 trail pass.
