From Route 7:
In East Middlebury, turn onto route 125 East
toward Ripton for 7 miles to Breadloaf Campus (yellow buildings). Turn left
into Rikert Nordic center parking lot. Busses park on East side of lot.
From Route 100:
In Hancock, turn onto route 125 West toward
Ripton for 9 miles to Breadloaf Campus (yellow buildings). Turn right into
Rikert Nordic center parking lot. Busses park on East side of lot.
PARKING: There will be a designated
area on the east side of the parking lot for busses. Additional parking (parents, spectators, etc.)
will be available on the south side of route 125 (across the road from Rikert)
when the main lot fills.
The “Big Barn” will be available for team
use, e.g., warming up and eating, etc. There is limited space, so please keep
the majority of your belongings on busses. Please do not crowd in the ski shop
and only use that area for restrooms/changing and the snack bar.
Electric power will be provided alongside the
parking lot adjacent to bus parking.
FOOD: There is a snack bar with
soups, hot & cold drinks, and a variety of granola bars, chips, jerky,
candy, etc. It is recommended that competitors bring lunch, as the “stomach-filling”
food selection is limited.
FACILITIES: There is an
indoor men’s and women’s bathrooms located inside the lodge. There will be portable
toilets available outside as well.
SPECTATORS: Spectators and
non-competitors will be allowed in designated spectator areas free of charge,
and must be acutely aware of all racer traffic and respect volunteer “crossing
guards”. However, any spectators or non-competing team members who wish to ski
out on the course (outside of the designated area) must purchase a $15.00 trail
pass.
